Sacramento Gold Football Club

Sacramento Gold FC is a semi-professional soccer club based out of Sacramento, California. Founded in 2009, the Gold began play in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), in the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid. The Gold are currently a member of the NPSL Golden Gate Conference in the West Region. Capital Christian High School's football stadium serves as the current home field for the Gold.
 

Sacramento's soccer history is full of champions, and the Gold is no exception. In its inaugural season, the Gold compiled a record of 7-2-1, good enough for the top spot in the Northwest Division. Four wins later, the Gold brought home another title for Sacramento, claiming the 2010 NPSL National Championship in its first year of existence.

 

Sacramento Gold FC prides itself in showcasing the local area's soccer talent. With a roster chalked full of home-grown players, a local ownership and front office and volunteers from all parts of the Sacramento community. The Sacramento Gold FC is truly a team built by, composed of, and cheered for by the Sacramento faithful.

 

Sacramento Gold FC is not only about providing high quality on and off the field, but also providing a pathway to the pros for local talent. In the few years of the club's existence, several former Gold players have found success in intercollegiate athletics, as well as in the professional ranks of Major League Soccer (MLS) and the United Soccer League (USL). 

 

In short, the Gold are a championship-level soccer club with a high level of success using local talent while providing a path to greater success for players, as well as a fun, low-cost atmosphere and entertainment for fans.
